Reg my Eldorado is a 1991 Posted by Tom (AZ) on 6/11/2006, 8:22 pm, in reply to "Re: Super Tuning a Detector" 70.176.106.119 and has a 10 turn GB pot, so do you know if it has an offset in the ground balance control, when I ground balance in the AM mode, I set it so that it is slightly positive, or causing and increase in the hum when the coil is going down. After ground balance, I switch to disc mode and from that point on the only knob I adjust is the threshold knob when I find a target, sometimes I will back off the target and check geound balance, or to pin point. The next time I take old bronie out I will do a little testing on ground balance setting, in relation to threshold adjustments. I will also do some depth testing in both modes. Thanks for the tip.
