    Supertuning can be detector specific-

    Ty Brooke told me of a trick with the MXT-you can 'crank' the sensitivity wide open in an area with electrical problems and use it at that setting. The trick is to turn the threshold down until there is no chatter or scrolling, and it really works. True, you will be down into the negative of the threshold, but it will give you added depth {its almost like cheating.}
    Another thing is the volume control on a CZ, a silent search detector. 'Crank' the sensitivity wide open, and completely turn up the volume control {with the discriminate control on zero}. You will hear an incredible amount of noise, but going slow, and listening carefully will also let you hear targets {good and bad} through the ground/electrical chatter. It takes a lot of patience, but its almost like you have a second sensitivity control. You may decide its too fatiquing and turn it down, but even going to six or seven on the control will give you targets that seem to appear by magic.
    Proper ground balance is a must.
